Pacific Central Station

The Beaux Arts Station, designed in 1911 by Pratt & Ross Architects, had suffered considerable deterioration due to its initial design being ill-adapted to the humid climate of the West Coast. In 2009, we undertook a major renovation and restoration project for Via Rail Canada's station, with financial support from the federal government.

The project included the repair of masonry and stucco, improved seismic standards, replacement of lintels and windows, addition of zinc flashings, renovation of parapets and roof, as well as the restoration of the neon sign.

This project was carefully crafted in order to respect the initial design intent, simply bringing it up to speed to modern standards.
